Monorail and Outside
Monorails connect remote gates — but don't block plane paths.

Monorail and Outside Areas
Monorail tracks and outside scenery sell the fantasy of a living airport in Itty Bitty Airport — passengers gliding between concourses while Boeing 747 traffic taxis below. Optional for progression, these builds shine in late and endgame airports if you respect one rule: never block taxiways.
Monorail purpose
Connect remote Double Jetbridge concourses — 747, Concorde, A380
Link main terminal to Sea Plane waterfront annex
Passenger immersion between food and comfort zones
Purely cosmetic transport — planes ignore monorail mechanically
Critical: taxiway clearance
Monorail pillars blocking taxiways cause planes not landing or stuck aircraft.
Elevate tracks above taxi paths when possible
Test landings after every monorail section
Last placed jetway must remain reachable
Outside area builds
Parking lots, entrance roads, BetaTester sign displays — codes
Observation decks viewing Large Runway
Waterfront promenades for Water Runway
Helipads and decor — no capacity unless indoor tiles below
Integration with layouts
Airport layouts — monorail loop around perimeter safe from taxi core
Satellite concourse + monorail spine — endgame template
Terminal design — monorail enters through enclosed station (counts tiles)
When to build monorail
Not early — fund capacity and ATC first
Mid-late: After Large Runway operational
Endgame: Polish when A380 income covers experimentation
Mobile considerations
Pillar placement precision difficult on phone — mobile vs PC
Build monorail on PC, play on mobile
Save before major outside builds
Monorail mistakes forcing taxi rebuilds — save and protect
Extra Save Slot Gamepass (125R$) for experiment saves — Gamepasses
