The Firefighter Training Plane joined Itty Bitty Airport in Taco Dev’s July 2025 fire update — the same patch that added the Firefighting Plane, Wind Sock, Fuel Truck, and Fire Emitter. Think of it as the entry ramp into fire aviation: lighter requirements than the full firefighting aircraft, but the same Air Stairs jetway family.

At 30 capacity and $18,000 per landing, it bridges the gap between early Boeing 737 territory and mid-tier Firefighting Plane income.

Why this plane matters

The fire update gave builders two aircraft instead of one. The Training Plane rewards airports that already run Small ATC and Small Runway infrastructure — you do not need Medium ATC yet. That makes it a natural unlock after Q400 or alongside a non-Gamepass grind toward 737 payouts.

Pair the aircraft with cosmetic fire and emergency builds — Fuel Truck, Fire Emitter, and Wind Sock — for a cohesive fire station zone near your Air Stairs ramp.
